The firm attempts to "help bridge the gap between academic knowledge and the urgent demands of the everyday world for better thinking."

The Library's general and discipline-specific research guides assist students in locating a wide variety of resources, including: Internet resources, databases, and books and other materials in the Squires Library. Also, the guides may be used to assist students in conceptualizing in their discipline and in thinking critically about their information needs.
