A student organization of Lee University.

A traveling drama group from Lee University that ministers in a variety of places. In a typical school year, the team travels to 15-20 different states, ministering at churches, youth groups, conferences, and youth camps.

Each year Lee University Theatre produces five plays in its two theatre spaces, the Dixon Auditorium (seats 500) and the Buzz Oates Theater (seats 150-180). Lee Theatre performances are open to Lee students, the Lee family, and the public. • Lee University offers both a B.A. in Theatre and a B.A.T. in Theatre with Teaching Licensure (K-12). The B.A. in Theatre is designed to train students interested in professional or academic work in the area of acting, directing and technical theatre.

ArtsBuild serves as a catalyst for the arts in Chattanooga and Hamilton County. Through grant-making, arts education initiatives, and arts advocacy, they are focused on what the arts can do to make our community a better place.

The resident theatre company of The Arts Center, Athens, TN. It generally produces 2 plays and 1 musical each year in the Sue E. Trotter Theater at The Arts Center. Other programs include play reading gatherings and staged readings. Participants are all volunteer.

A division of the City of Chattanooga Dept. of Youth & Family Development • Mission is to increase film production in Chattanooga and Southeast Tennessee and to maximize the economic impact in the area.

The mission of the Chattanooga Symphony & Opera is to inspire, engage, and enrich the greater Chattanooga community through music and music education.

The Chattanooga Theatre Centre is dedicated to enriching the cultural, intellectual, and emotional development of people of all ages by providing high-quality theatrical experiences and creating opportunities to engage in them.

Christian Family Theater is a family friendly theater group working and training children and adults in an environment that reflects Judeo-Christian values. Performances are held at various area churches. CFT invite children, youth, and adults audition for their shows.

Cleveland Story Telling Guild in Cleveland, Tennessee. Monthly meetings to share stories and develop storytelling skills. Storytellers available for events. Many annual programs with nationally known tellers and workshops.

The Colonnade offers community theatre and music stage performances.

Dalton Little Theatre is an entirely volunteer run organization. Dalton Little Theatre, DLT, held its first documented performance in 1869. In 1981 it converted the former firehouse built in 1888 into The Firehouse Theatre. The Firehouse Theatre is often referred to as The Old Dalton Firehouse and it remains the home of Dalton Little Theatre to this day.

A ministry of Christ United Methodist Church, the East Brainerd Community Theater is exists to bring quality stage productions to the East Brainerd community, produced and presented by members of the community. Their goal is to present one musical and one play per year.

Local theatre company that seeks to offer productions that are unique and engaging, performances that inspire young artists, and summer camps and weekly classes.

The historic Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Auditorium was dedicated on November 11, 1922, Veterans Day, as Chattanooga and Hamilton County’s living memorial to those who have served in the armed forces. With seating for 3,866, Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Auditorium hosts full-scale theatrical productions, music concerts, comedy shows, and community events.

A ministry First Centenary United Methodist Church, Chattanooga, TN, Oak Street Playhouse's mission is to provide outstanding family-style entertainment and cultural enrichment. Performances include: a spring play and a popular December Dinner-Theatre. The Playhouse holds open auditions with casts of actors from both Tennessee and North Georgia.

The Ocoee Theatre's goal is to create quality theatre productions with and for the citizens of Cleveland, Bradley County, and surrounding areas.

The Ringgold Playhouse is a creative outlet for storytelling in the community that challenges, entertains, and inspires both the audience and audience.

The Purpose of the Signal Mountain Playhouse is to produce plays and similar activities so youth and adults may participate as members of the cast or in supporting activities, to educate and train young people through association with adults who are also participating, and to provide quality entertainment to people of all ages. Plays and promotions of other types of entertainment are presented using casts and crews who are residents of the Mountain to the extent feasible.

The Tivoli Theatre, known as “The Jewel of the South” has entertained Chattanoogans for over 90 years, offering everything from silent movies to Broadway shows.

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga The Fine Arts Center, located at the corner of Vine and Palmetto Streets on the UTC campus, houses the work of the Departments of Music, Theatre, and the Visual Arts in three main venues: The Roland W. Hayes Concert Hall, The Dorothy Hackett Ward Theater, and the George Ayers Cress Gallery of Art. • The Hayes Concert Hall is named after tenor Roland Hayes, the first male African-American concert artist to receive worldwide recognition. • The Ward Theater seats UTC Theatre Department Head Dorothy Hackett Ward. • The Department of Art presents student, faculty and guest showings in the Cress Gallery throughout the school year and is home to the John and Diane Marek Visiting Artist Series.

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Theatre Division combines performance and production activities within a liberal arts environment to develop collaborative artists, while serving the community. By providing a strong foundation in the traditions and disciplines of theatre, the academic program encourages the artists to take risks, make compelling choices, and think independently. Their goal is to produce graduates who bring an informed awareness of the world to their art, while preparing them for a variety of career paths.

In addition to the mid-sized Main Hall with its large stage and seating capacity, Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Auditorium also houses the intimate and newly updated Walker Theatre located upstairs from the main level, with a seating capacity of 851.
