Research Paper: “A Historical Look Back at the Pastoral Care of Children” 

Below are listed the required elements of your research paper according to the assignment rubric.  Be sure to address each element listed so you can receive full credit for each section.

   • How has the past influenced the present?
     • Draw conclusions between research and practice, explaining how the past has influenced the approach to children’s ministry and pastoral care today.
4. 20 points
   • Answer the following questions:
     • Should there be changes made in the approach to pastoral care of children, and if so, what are they?
     • What do you see as the primary obstacles to caring for children in today’s world and what are some potential solutions?
5. 20 points
   • Name one contemporary issue that is affecting the pastoral care of children and identify the type of pastoral care that would best address that specific issue.

   • Scholarly writing, including proper grammar and college-level composition.
7. 20 points
   • Citations and formatting according to School of Theology and Ministry Style.
